Hanoi heat: a photo essay

Hanoi is hot and steamy at the moment — and will be until autumn pays the city a brief visit in November. While foreigners and tourists struggle with the tropical conditions (myself included), for the locals, it’s business as usual. This week, I took a walk around the Old Quarter, camera in hand — sweat dripping from my face and forming rivulets down my back — to capture life on the streets. Even in the heat, it’s impossible to take a bad photo in Hanoi!   1. I’ve always loved candid shots, something about them are way more interesting and beautiful than posed shots.
